The Hiang Tiang Siang Ti Temple was built in 1863 by the Teochew immigrants as a house of worship for Hiang Tiang Siang Ti (Deity of the North).

Celebrated on the 3^rd  day of the  third month of the lunar calendar , Hiang Tiang Siang Ti`s birthday celebration has become an annual event attracting devotees from all corners to congegrate at the temple.  The temple is also a tourist attraction for visitors from abroad.
